Three of Northern Ireland’s top beauty queens have been revealed as the faces behind prestigious awards.
Founder of Pearl Beauty and North Coast dwelling Canadian, Elanna McGowan; Nail Technician and Educator with global beauty house, Elim, Ingrid Graham; and Magherafelt-based lifestyle and fashion influencer, Ashlee Coburn have been announced as ambassadors of the 2022 NI Beauty Excellence Awards.
The ladies are all known for their online followings and entrepreneurial spirit.
The awards will honour salons, hairdressers, clinics, spas, products and industry experts in May.
Launched in December last year, and supported by West Coast Cooler and media partners Belfast Live and Daily Mirror, the NI Beauty Excellence Awards will also be judged by top local professionals.
Paul Stafford, Linda Stinson, Katrina Doran and Dr Mervyn Patterson will be joined by ambassador Elanna McGowan on panel for this year’s awards.
This is the second year of the Beauty Excellence Awards, and creator and organiser Sarah Weir says it’s incredibly important to shine a light on the industry which was hugely impacted by events from the past two years.
Sarah said: “It’s hard to believe it is almost two years since our hairdressers, salons and clinics were told they had to shut overnight, with no support. They have quietly been pivoting, adjusting and adhering to guidelines, all in an attempt to keep their businesses going in the most difficult of circumstances.
“The NI Beauty Excellence Awards will shine a light on the tenacity of the people behind this industry, applaud those who have strategically weathered this storm and are emerging with bright ideas and a passion to move forward.
