NI £600 energy payment: How Power NI customers can check status of their voucher

The rollout of the £600 energy payment for Northern Ireland households began on Monday.

Those who pay their electric bills by direct debit will receive the £600 into their bank accounts.

Vouchers are being sent by post to all other customers.

The mailout of the vouchers is taking place in batches over the next four weeks. It's expected to be completed by the end of February. They can only be redeemed at the Post Office.

Power NI has launched a calculator for their customers to check the status of their £600 government energy support payment/voucher.

To complete this form, you will need either your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) or Keypad Point Reference Number (KPRN) that are specific to the address.

The MPRN is the 11-digit number found on the card that the meter reader leaves (also displayed on electricity bills at the address).

The KPRN is the 19-digit number on the keypad top up card, starting with the numbers 98.

If you don’t know your MPRN, you can call NIE Networks for it on 03457 643 643.

The Post Office is urging everyone due to receive a voucher to pay close attention to their post.

It says it has worked with the electricity suppliers to prioritise the delivery of vouchers to households on the customer care register.

A statement added: "Each gas and electricity supplier is required to compile and maintain a customer care register which stores details of consumers who merit special treatment on account of age, disability or chronic illness."

Power NI customers can use the calculator HERE.
