On Wednesday, thousands of newly qualified medical graduates start work in hospitals across the country.

Junior doctors will take to hospital wards after years of studying and doing work placements. They are supposed to work with a senior colleague before changeover day, to settle into their role before being expected to take on responsibility.

We want to know what advice you have for the junior doctors starting work in August. If you are a doctor, nurse, paramedic, healthcare assistant, admin staff or other healthcare professional working in a hospital with new staff, how have you found working with newly qualified medical graduates in previous years? Is there anything they should avoid? What top tips have you got for them?

Or, if you’re a patient, what would you like to tell the people who will care for you when they first start out?

We want to hear from you. Share your advice by filling in the form below. We’ll use a selection in our reporting.
