NHS worker walking to bus stop suddenly stopped by passerby

An NHS worker was left shocked on her way to work this morning.

The woman was walking to the bus stop in Netherton on Wednesday September 29 when a lady suddenly spoke to her.

The NHS worker was asked if she was on her way to Maghull by the lady, who then went on to offer her a lift to work.

The NHS employee was touched by the offer.

She took to Facebook to explain what happened and said how "a little bit of kindness goes such a long way".

She wrote in a community Facebook group: "This morning, I was offered a lift to work by a lady who lives on Chapel Lane.

"She seen me walking to the bus stop on Perimeter Rd and asked me if I was going to Maghull (I work in Bootle ). She seen my NHS lanyard and jacket and offered to drop me off.

"Not sure if she is one of our members on here, but thought it was really kind of her to offer.

"A little bit of kindness goes such a long way, especially in times like this, when our jobs are very difficult at the moment."
