NHS worker had faeces poured on her and was 'told she would be shot'

An NHS worker had 'human faeces' smeared on her and was allegedly told she would be shot.

Police were called to Ford Lane in Litherland on Thursday morning following claims a woman had been threatened by a man and had a bag of faeces thrown over her.

It was also reported the male had threatened to shoot her.

A man has been charged in connection with the incident.

The woman was on her way to work at around 7.15am when she was approached by a man in the street.

It was reported to officers that the male threatened the woman, said to have been clearly identifiable as an NHS worker, and threw the excrement over her.

On Thursday, a man was arrested by police investigating the incident. The suspect was charged and remanded in custody.

*Josh Wade, 21 and of Ford Lane in Litherland, has been charged with unlawfully and maliciously administering a poison or other destructive or noxious thing, namely human excrement, with intent to injure, aggrieve or annoy; harassment that placed a person in fear of violence - in that he "made threats to shoot her" and possession of a Class B substance.

He was due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Friday
