NHS Tayside has confirmed there are currently three Tayside care homes with COVID-19 cases.
But the health board told the PA there were no current outbreaks in Perth and Kinross care homes.
The news comes after an NHS Tayside board paper revealed there were as many as nine outbreaks in Tayside care homes two weeks ago.

The Public Health Update paper - presented to NHS Tayside's board meeting last week - revealed on October 20 four care homes were experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak.

The report said that as of October 20 four care homes were "experiencing an outbreak that is due to confirmed COVID19 infection" with another five closed "due to respiratory outbreaks that have not been confirmed as COVID19."
But today, (November 3) NHS Tayside confirmed there were no outbreaks within Perth and Kinross care homes.

A spokesperson for NHS Tayside's health protection team said, "There are no current outbreaks in care homes in Perth and Kinross. There are three care homes in Tayside confirmed as having COVID-19 cases."

The NHS Tayside report presented last week said all care homes with confirmed cases underwent enhanced (mass) testing as part of their outbreak management and investigation. The health protection team also provides daily support to the care home.
