Deliveroo has revealed it will offer NHS workers more than £1.5m worth of vouchers to spend on its app and website.
Thanks to support from customers and corporate partners, Deliveroo will offer free meals to tens of thousands of healthcare workers.
The food delivery company revealed last week that it would make 500,000 meals available to NHS staff at hospitals, and now it’s making sure staff are fed at home too.
From today, NHS staff can receive a £20 voucher for Deliveroo, which will cover the cost of a meal and its delivery and can be used at any Deliveroo restaurant.
50,000 vouchers are initially being made available across the UK.
Will Shu, CEO and founder of Deliveroo , said: “Whether to hospitals or homes, Deliveroo is providing NHS workers with free meals and we are incredibly proud to do so. This is just a small gesture of thanks for the enormous effort they are all making to save lives and protect us all.”
To use your voucher you’ll need to register for a Deliveroo account and enter your NHS ID.
