NHS Lanarkshire primary care services open on bank holiday Monday

All GP practices and many community pharmacies across Lanarkshire will be open on bank holiday Monday,May 25, to help alleviate the pressure on other areas of the healthcare system.

A number of community pharmacies will be closed, but all areas across Lanarkshire will have access to a community pharmacy.

For a list of all pharmacies open on Monday, May 25, visit  https://www.nhslanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk/novel-corona-virus-covid-19/service-change/  and click on ‘Pharmacy opening times’.

Craig Cunningham, Head of Commissioning and Performance, South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership told the Reformer : “We would like to thank all community pharmacy and GP practice staff for going above and beyond during these challenging times. Opening on bank holidays is just one way our GP and pharmacy colleagues have responded very positively to deal with the demands of Covid-19.”

Across Lanarkshire community pharmacies are returning to their normal opening hours, however physical distancing measures and restrictions remain in place. Please do not attend your practice or community pharmacy if you have symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
