NHS Lanarkshire issue advice to the public over coronavirus

NHS Lanarkshire have issued advice on how to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In a video posted on their Facebook page the health authority issued the latest public information on the virus which has claimed the lives of hundreds across the globe.

NHS Lanarkshire say if you have returned from mainland China or specified countries in the past 14 days, please follow the advice for returning travellers.

For a full list of countries affected, log onto www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus or call 0800 028 2816.

The video states the Government and NHS are well prepared to deal with the virus and you can help too.

Advice given is to always carry tissues and use them to catch a  cough or sneeze, then deposit them into a bin.

And to further kill the germs, always wash your hands with soap and water and use a sanitiser gel.

This is the best way to slow the spread of almost any germs, including the coronavirus.
