NHS Lanarkshire holding Covid-19 vaccination drop-in clinics

Drop-in clinics for second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are being held by NHS Lanarkshire this week.

The clinics, at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell, are open to anyone who lives in Lanarkshire and who has waited 12 weeks or more since their first dose.

They are taking place on:

· Wednesday, June 16 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm

· Thursday, June 17 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm

· Friday, June 18 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Dr Mark Russell, Lead for the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Lanarkshire, said: "We would encourage anyone who has waited 12 weeks or more since their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and who has not yet received an appointment for their second dose, to come along to one of our drop-in clinics.

"Receiving both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine is really important as it provides long-lasting protection."
