NHS Lanarkshire gave out 198,474 free condoms in 2018/19.
As part of their condom distribution schemes - including the “Free Condoms, No Fuss” C Card scheme - the health board have given out almost 200,000 condoms to help prevent the spread of STIs and stop unwanted pregnancies.
The condom distribution schemes are open to anyone living, working or studying in Lanarkshire.
Over 100 health centres and pharmacies across the county - including 55 in South Lanarkshire - are part of the C Card scheme which the health board say is based on “respecting and protecting yourself and others”.
Aimed at promoting safer sex, the scheme provides the required contraceptive - including flavoured, natural and latex-free condoms - in discreet packaging.
