NHS Heroes: Latest amazing way Bristolians have shown support for the NHS

People across the city have been showing their appreciation for the NHS in many ways.

Every Thursday, thousands are standing outside their properties and clapping to show their support for the health service during the coronavirus crisis.

Messages of support are also appearing on windows across the city.

One family in south Bristol has put some lights on a heart-shaped bush outside their home, writing the word NHS.

Jacqueline said they would keep them up until things go back to normal.

She said: "The NHS are doing an amazing job and we just wanted to show a bit of love.

"It is not just the people on the frontline but also cleaners and others.

"We are all trapped in our houses and I think it is nice to have something beautiful to look at - anything positive is fantastic and came make a difference to someone's day."

A projection has also appeared in a city car park, and signs can be spotted all over the city outside people's homes.

Pictures of rainbows have been appearing in windows too as people try to stay positive while they are locked in their homes.

If you or someone you know has done something special to show their appreciation for the NHS please email bristolpostnews@localworld.co.uk. We'd love to hear from you.
