San Jose’s Erik Karlsson missed the first game due to a “personal matter,” which turned out to be the birth of his daughter. With Karlsson expected back in the lineup, it’ll potentially give the Sharks the edge they missed in Game 1.
The Golden Knights will be without Nate Schmidt, who suffered an apparent knee injury in Wednesday’s game. However, Nicolas Hague will get his NHL debut in this one, filling in for Schmidt. Vegas will look to make it two in a row and start their season off with a bang.
