It’s a battle between the winless in the NHL as the 0-1-0 Chicago Blackhawks host the 0-4-0 San Jose Sharks, on ESPN+.
If just looking at the win column, you’d be excused for thinking both these teams sit in the same position. However, the NHL’s weird scheduling has seen the Blackhawks play just one game, a Global Series event in Prague against the Philadelphia Flyers. While it counted as a loss, we don’t really know what type of team Chicago actually is yet.
But we’ll find out tonight against the Sharks. San Jose might be the worst team in the league, scoring just five goals while giving up 17 over four games. The Sharks have to be concerned given the Blackhawks’ offense hung four goals in their only game this season while San Jose has given up at least four goals in three of four games so far.
