Julien Gauthier will make his NHL debut, filling in for Jordan Martinook after being ruled out for several weeks with a core injury.
While the Islanders have stumbled out the gate this season, New York had Carolina’s number last season, beating them in 3-of-4 matchups. They’ll turn to goaltender Thomas Greiss in this one, who has helped the Islanders to their only victory this season.
