NHL fans crushed Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen for giving up brutal goal in Game 7

The Boston Bruins struck first in Tuesday night’s Game 7 with the Toronto Maple Leafs and it was a goal that Toronto’s Frederik Andersen surely wants back because it was the definition of soft.

He probably wants the second one back, too.

Game 7s in the NHL playoffs can be decided by the smallest of mistakes, mistakes like both ones by Andersen who got beat on his short side by Boston’s Joakim Nordstrom, the left winger on Boston’s fourth line, on the first goal.

The Bruins then made things worse for Andersen and the Maple Leafs a few minutes later when they added a second goal for a 2-0 lead.

But the first goal really set things up for the Maples Leafs to struggle in Game 7:

That should have been stopped 100 times out of 100 times.
