With all the attention on the NHL 26 trailer, release date and pre-order info released earlier this morning, it was easy to miss the batch of new screenshots that also arrived. Here’s a quick look at what EA shared.

As mentioned earlier, ICE-Q 2.0 is the standout feature this year, using real NHL EDGE tracking data to influence everything from passing to goaltending. Player movement, shooting and tendencies are now shaped by the same data teams use in real life, giving the action a more true-to-life feel. Goalies also get a boost with the new Crease Control System, helping them track plays better and make smarter, more natural saves. Star players feel more like themselves on the ice thanks to revamped X-Factors and new animations tied to their individual styles.
Be A Pro mode gets a full overhaul, giving players more control over their path from rookie to NHL standout. New storylines, characters, challenges and scenes aim to make the journey more personal. Whether it’s shining in the World Juniors, hearing their name called at the draft or climbing back up from the minors, players will shape their careers both on and off the ice.
HUT also sees changes with the introduction of HUT Seasons. This mode brings a mix of ranked competition, new team-building systems and the HUT Cup Chase for those who prefer offline play. Each season will feature new Heroes and Icons cards celebrating hockey legends, along with visual improvements that add to the overall experience.
The Deluxe Edition cover brings a rare family moment to the spotlight, featuring Matthew and Brady Tkachuk alongside their father, Keith.
