Police have charged a 28-year-old man from Nhill after he allegedly tried to run over a man on Friday.

A Nhill man has been bailed to appear in court at a later date after police allege he made threats to kill and tried to run over a man on Friday.

Police have charged the 28-year-old man with making threats to kill, making threats to inflict serious injury, conduct endangering life and criminal damage.

He has also been charged with failing to have proper control of a vehicle and drink driving.

Police say the man used a wooden pick to damage two cars and a house on Park Street in Nhill about 4pm on Friday.

He appeared in the Horsham Magistrates Court on Monday where he was bailed. His vehicle has been impounded for one month.

He will appear again in court on October 27th.
