NHC: Tropical Storm Nana could strengthen into hurricane by Thursday

Tropical Storm Nana is expected to strengthen into a hurricane before landfall on Thursday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Tuesday.

Nana was located about 110 miles (175 km) south of Negril, Jamaica, with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles-per-hour (85 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster said in its latest advisory.
