Teddy weakened into a Category 3 hurricane over the central Atlantic on Friday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
The hurricane was located about 520 miles (835 km) northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 125 miles per hour (205 kph), the NHC said.
