Tropical storm Paulette has formed over the central tropical Atlantic on Monday and modest additional strengthening is expected during the next couple of days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
Paulette is located about 1,205 miles (1,940 km) west of the Cape Verde islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 km/h).
