NHC says Lee weakens into tropical storm

(Reuters) - Lee, previously a hurricane, has weakened to tropical storm strength and is expected to dissipate on Saturday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Friday.

The tropical storm is located about 1210 miles (1950 km) west-northwest of the Azores with maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour (110 km per hour), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
