NHC says Hurricane Iota makes landfall on coast Nicaragua

Catergory 4 hurricane Iota made landfall along the coast of northeastern Nicaragua, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC)said in its latest advisory on Tuesday.

Iota is located about 30 miles (45 km) south of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, packing maximum sustained winds of 155 miles-per-hour (250 km per hour), the NHC added.
