(Reuters) - A broad area of low pressure centered several hundred miles south-southwest of the Cape Verde islands, has a 70 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
A tropical depression is expected to form during the next couple of days while the system moves west-northwestward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean, the NHC added.
