(Reuters) - A large area of showers and thunderstorms located near eastern Cuba has a 40% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
"A tropical depression could form near the northwestern Bahamas or South Florida as early as Friday," the NHC added.
