NFL Week 5: Saints, Buccaneers release inactive reports

The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers published their lists of the players who will be inactive for their Week 5 kickoff. Several names were known already; starting Saints quarterback Drew Brees was ruled out on Friday, as expected, while he continues to manage his surgically-repaired throwing hand. Additionally, backup pass rusher Trey Hendrickson was also ruled out after injuring his neck last week against the Dallas Cowboys.

Maybe surprisingly, big slot receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey will not play. The rookie was promoted from the practice squad following Tre’Quan Smith’s ankle injury back in Week 2, but with Smith’s return, Humphrey will not dress out. Here’s the full list of inactive players who will join Brees and Hendrickson on the sideline for Sunday’s game:

 From the Saints

  • QB Drew Brees
  • DE Trey Hendrickson
  • CB Ken Crawley
  • S Saquan Hampton
  • OG Nick Easton
  • OT Ethan Greenidge
  • WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey

From the Buccaneers

  • WR Breshad Perriman
  • CB Jamel Dean

  • ILB Jack Cichy

  • OG Zack Bailey

  • OT Jerald Hawkins

  • DL Patrick O’Connor

  • TE Tanner Hudson
