NFL Week 3 Awards: Patriots QB Mac Jones easily had Sunday’s most embarrassing flop

Sunday’s NFL Week 3 action was… pretty darn good.

We saw Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins hand Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills their first loss of the season in a game that brought the beautiful “butt punt” into our lives.

We saw the Jacksonville Jaguars go out to Los Angeles and… not look like the normal Jagaurs as they crushed Justin Herbert and the Chargers, 38-10, at Sofi Stadium.

Oh, and we also saw Joe Burrow and the Bengals get their first win of the season as they beat the Jets, who had a heated moment on their sideline during the loss.

Now it’s time for us to hand out some awards. So let’s get to it!

Worst flop by a NFL QB: Mac Jones.

He thankfully didn’t get get the call he was looking for on this flop.

Worst job of missing your teammate with your punt attempt: Miami punter Thomas Morstead.

The Dolphins hung on to beat the Bills and now we’ll always have the butt punt:

Worst job of keeping his cool after a loss: Bills OC Ken Dorsey.

Dorsey didn’t appear to be happy after the Bills’ comeback attempt ran out of time. Also, there were so many great memes from this moment of anger.

The most ridiculous pregame shirt: This one worn by Tom Brady.

Brady had his yearbook photo on the back of his shirt with a quote that read: “Greatness Lasts Forever.” Lots of NFL fans crushed him for it.

The most heated discussion between a QB and his offensive coordinator: This one between Patrick Mahomes and Eric Bienemy.

The Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season Sunday in Indianapolis and things got a bit heated on their sideline during the game.

Best throw by a QB who has busted rips: This one by Justin Herbert.

This was a thing of beauty:

The wildest dog race: This one in Seattle.

One corgi had its own plans for the race in Seattle.

The best use of hip thrusts during a TD celebration: Jamaal Williams.

Williams got flagged for this celebration, which is a shame because fans loved it.

Best postgame tweet by a NFL team: This one by the Eagles.

The Eagles beat the Commanders on the road and then their social media team picked up another W:

Best job of picking up a first down on 4th and 1: James Robinson.

Yup, this was a good decision by the Jags:

Most dominant performance by a QB who should get all the money in his next contract: Lamar Jackson.

Jackson’s dominant 2022 season continued Sunday with a 5 TD day in a win over the Patriots.
