NFL Week 12 Awards: Jaguars’ thong-wearing mascot had Sunday’s most spectacular TD celebration

A long holiday weekend full of football action came to a close Sunday with a ton of NFL games and while they might not have been the best matchups we’ll ever see, there was some fun to be had Sunday in the NFL.

Take the Jaguars, for instance. They scored a TD in the final seconds and then went for the two-point conversion for the lead instead of trying to just tie up the game. It worked (more on that in a bit) and they got a huge win over the Ravens. The Chargers later did the same thing to the Cardinals, which was also great.

Jacoby Brissett and the Browns beat Tom Brady and the Bucs in OT and after the game Brissett hilariously used Brady’s F-bomb line.

Oh, and the Jets looked really good with Mike White at QB.

Let’s have some more fun and hand out some awards for the good, the bad, and the hilarious from Sunday’s action.

The most awkward TD celebration by a mascot wearing a thong: Jaxson de Ville.

The Jaguars’ mascot had quite the outfit Sunday. It also had quite the celebration:

 

Biggest hit suffered by a head coach: This one by Sean McVay.

OUCH.

Most brutally honest/accurate TV graphic: This one by Fox Sports.

Zach Wilson didn’t play Sunday but he still took a big hit.

Biggest hat worn after a win: This one by Washington’s Brian Robinson Jr.

This isn’t photoshopped. It’s real. For real.

Stinkiest fan in the stands: This skunk in Cleveland.

Seriously, there was a skunk on the loose in the stands in Cleveland.

Best decision by a coach (Tie): This one by Jacksonville’s Doug Pederson.

This is how you go out and win a game.

And this one by Brandon Staley:

Worst job of catching a football by a professional wide receiver on a big 4th down: Amari Cooper.

This was not great!

Goofiest TD 'run' by a QB: This one by Sam Darnold.

Good job, Broncos.

Best job of refusing to be tackled until he reach ed the end zone: Kenneth Walker.

The Seahawks running back looked like Marshawn Lynch on this one.

The worst job of pulling off a no-look pass: Patrick Mahomes.

This usually goes a lot better for the all-world QB:

Best one-handed grab by a receiver who had his other hand being held by a DB: Davante Adams.

Seriously, how’d he do this?

 

Best job of walking off with a win with a TD: Raiders.
