NFL Week 11: 28 elite performances

Week 11 provided another Lamar Jackson showcase. Christian McCaffrey delivered a stellar effort in a stinker by the Panthers.

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray

Facing the Niners in SF did not derail the No. 1 overall pick. He threw for a pair of TDs and ran for one, which gave the Cardinals a late lead that faded. Good performance against a strong team.

Atlanta Falcons: Calvin Ridley

The Falcons are resurgent, having won two in a row after an 1-7 first half of the season. Matt Ryan is in the groove and he found Calvin Ridley with eight times in eight targets for 143 yards and a TD. Big performance by the second-year WR.

Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is neck and neck with Russell Wilson for MVP and he is moving on the lead quickly. A dynamic player and leader of a powerful offense, he did it again, this time crushing the Texans. Wow!

Buffalo Bills: John Brown

John Brown had a huge game against the Dolphins, He was targeted 14 times, catching nine passes for 137 yards and a pair of TDs as Buffalo improved to 7-3.

Carolina Panthers: Christian McCaffrey

On a forgettable day for the Panthers, Christian McCaffrey still managed to account for 191 yards. A fantasy football machine.

Chicago Bears: Pat O’Donnell

The Bears’ offense did not do much. The defense did not allow much. The best performer was punter Pat O’Donnell, who did his job, punting six times for a 43-yard average. At least that part of the kicking game is solid in Chicago.

Cincinnati Bengals: Nick Vigil

Giving a nod to Nick Vigil, who was in on 12 tackles and had a half-sack of Derek Carr as Cincinnati fell to 0-10, but was competitive against Oakland.

Cleveland Browns: Defense

The actual game will be obscured forever by the final eight seconds. However, the Browns’ defense was strong, picking off Mason Rudolph four times and sacking the Steelers’ QB four times. Joe Schobert was a beast, with 10 tackles and two picks.

Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott threw three TD passes and for 444 yards against Detroit. Another big game in a year he is showcasing himself for a big-time contract with the Cowboys. What is Jerry Jones waiting for?

Denver Broncos: Courtland Sutton

The Broncos lost a 20-0 halftime lead and the game to the Vikings. Courtland Sutton was one of the players who came up big for Vic Fangio, catching five passes for 113 yards, including a 48-yarder.

Detroit Lions: Marvin Jones Jr.

Marvin Jones Jr. only had four grabs but two of them wound up in the end zone as Mr. Touchdown keeps on scoring.

Houston Texans: None

Indianapolis Colts: Jonathan Williams

Jacoby Brissett returned to Indy’s backfield. Marlon Mack reached 100 yards but busted his hand. On came Jonathan Williams, who rushed for 116 yards on 13 carries in a strong effort.

Jacksonville Jaguars: DJ Chark

The Jags were off their game against Indy. However. DJ Chark continues to play with power. The wide receiver was targeted 15 times, caught eight passes, two that went for scores.

Kansas City Chiefs: Travis Kelce

The maginificent tight end Travis Kelce had a quiet first half but opened up big time after intermission. He wound up with seven catches for 92 yards, almost all of it coming in the final 30 minutes. An elite weapon.

Los Angeles Chargers: Austin Ekeler

The versatile running back had a big game in the loss to the Chiefs. He had 108 yards receiving and another 24 on five carries. A great threat for the Bolts.

Los Angeles Rams: Aaron Donald

Aaron Donald had a pair of sacks as the Rams’ defense made the night miserable for Mitchell Trubisky and Chicago on Sunday Night Football.

Miami Dolphins: Jakeem Grant

The Dolphins fell to the Bills but Jakeem Grant delivered for Miami. Grant scored a TD on his lone rush, caught three passes for 32 yards and had an 101-yard kickoff return for a TD among his 198 yards bringing back kickoffs.

Minnesota Vikings: Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs was a huge part of the Vikings’ comeback against Denver. Diggs had a handful of catches for 121 yards and a TD as Minnesota rallied from a 20-0 halftime deficit.

New England Patriots: Julian Edelman

How about a TD pass from the old college QB? Edelman found Phillip Dorsett for a 15-yard TD, the loan score in the second half as the Patriots downed the Eagles.

New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees

Drew Brees was back in fine form as the Saints throttled the Bucs. The future Hall of Fame QB completed 80 percent of his passes for 228 yards and a trio of TDs. The incomparable Michael Thomas was on the receiving end of eight for 114 yards and a score.

New York Jets: Ryan Griffin

Ryan Griffin had a huge game for the Jets against hideous Washington. Griffin caught five passes for 109 yards and a TD.

Oakland Raiders: Derek Carr

Derek Carr was on-target against the Bengals. The Raiders’ QB was 25-of-29 for 292 yards and a score as Oakland improved to 6-4 for Jon Gruden.

Philadelphia Eagles: Nathan Gerry

Nathan Gerry was in on 10 tackles, seven solo, and had a sack as Philly fell to 5-5 with a loss against the Patriots.

Pittsburgh Steelers: T.J. Watt

T.J. Watt continues to be relentless. The Steelers’ star had four tackles, a sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss in the Pittsburgh defeat at Cleveland.

San Francisco 49ers: Jimmy Garoppolo

Yes, the Niners’ QB threw a pair of picks. However, he also led them back from a 16-0 deficit to victory over Arizona with his second four-TD performance of the season against the Cardinals.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devin White

Tampa Bay’s star rookie Devin White had 11 solo tackles and was in on two others as the Bucs fell to New Orleans.

Washington Redskins: Tress Way

There isn’t much good in Washington. Tress Way probably will be a Pro Bowl punter off his performance in 2019. Way averaged 52.8 yards on six punts, dropping a pair inside the 20.
