This season the Raiders are 2-0 against division foes. The oddsmakers think they will make it 3-0 this week as the Broncos come to town. The folks over at BetMGM have the Raiders as 4.5-point favorites which is consistent with most betting sites, though some have them 4-point favorites.
Last week, the Raiders held on to beat the Chargers, bringing their record to 5-3 at the midway point. One of their previous wins was the only loss the Chiefs have suffered this season.
The Broncos were destroyed 43-16 by the Chiefs. Like the Raiders, they also barely beat the Chargers. They sit at 3-5 on the season.
It’s possible the Broncos’ are even worse than their 3-5 record suggests. They have given up at least 26 points in six of their eight games this season. The combined record of the teams they have beaten is 5-20. And while the Raiders have scored over 30 points four times this season, the Broncos have done it just twice, with one of those times coming against the winless Jets.
On the other hand, the Raiders have allowed at least 24 points in seven of their eight games this season and five times gave up 30 points or more. If you take away the game in Cleveland in which inclement weather played a huge role, the Raiders score under 29 points per game but give up nearly 32 points per game.
