My bold prediction for Week 1 of this 2020 NFL season is that the Miami Dolphins will go into New England and upset the Patriots. Brian Flores showed at the end of last year in Week 17 just how much potential the Dolphins had. They upset New England at that point, they’re going to do it again in Week 1 this year. Miami has upgraded their offense and defense over the offseason. Particularly on the defensive side, they got major additions in free agency. They signed cornerback Byron Jones, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, and then a pair of pass rushers – Shaq Lawson and Emmanuel Ogbah.
New England, a team that doesn’t have a lot of momentum, a team that is still figuring out what to do without Tom Brady as they move Cam Newton into that role – I think they are vulnerable, and Miami will capitalize.
