NFL UK fans issued reminder on buying tickets after changes for 2023 London Games

NFL UK general manager Henry Hodgson reminded fans to sign up or risk missing out on tickets for the London Games later this year.

Ahead of the 2023 season, the NFL have revealed the International Series lineup with five matches being played in the United Kingdom and Germany. The UK will host three matches across successive weekends in October, with the Jaguars set to face the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills before the Baltimore Ravens clash with the Tennessee Titans.

The Jags - a favourite of British fans due to their dedication to compete in London - will make history when they play their back-to-back matches in London, welcoming the Falcons to Wembley on October 1 before being hosted by the Buffalo Bills at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a week later. The matches will be Jacksonville’s 10th and 11th regular season games in London, 10 years after first crossing the pond.

While British and European fans will be excited by the lineup and new season, difficulties surrounding the process left many fans without a ticket. Following a number of complaints, Hodgson revealed an overhaul in how tickets are sold for the 2023 International Series to try and give loyal and committed fans the best opportunity to attend.

“Historically, we've had a what we call a ‘registry of interest’ for people who have been able to sign up in order to be able to purchase tickets, dating back to 2007 when the first game was played here,” Hodgson told Mirror Sport. “What we've done this year, which is slightly different, is only those people who have registered interest will be able to purchase tickets.

“It’s imperative to actually sign up if you’re interested in buying tickets, which you can do at nfl.com/london. Signing up doesn't guarantee that you're going to be able to get a ticket, but it does get you into a position to the best position to do so.”

Hodgson also insisted the only way to guarantee the purchase of a ticket is through the NFL's official partners, including Ticketmaster. He added: “Anywhere outside of that, it's a risk to be to be using those platforms.”

Only those who have registered for tickets will be able to access the first day of general admission sales for the 2023 London Games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This registration period will close on Monday June 12 at 5pm (BST). General admission tickets for the 2023 NFL London Games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will go on sale Thursday June 22 2023 at 12pm.
