The NFL will release its 2019 schedule at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The Bears already know the details of their season opener, which be held Sept. 5.. The “Thursday Night Football” game at Soldier Field will mark the start of the league’s 100th season, and that of the Bears.
Multiple reports — from WGN-AM’s Harry Teinowitz and Raiders reporter Vic Tafur — pegged Oct. 6 as the date of the Bears-Raiders game in London. The Bears would have a bye the next week, in Week 6. In February, Sports Business Journal reported the Bears would again be the road team in the Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game.
NFL teams cannot confirm schedules until Wednesday night.
Their other 2019 opponents — beside home-and-home games against their NFC North foes — include home contests against the Cowboys, Giants, Chiefs, Chargers and Saints. They’ll travel to face the Broncos, Eagles, Redskins and Rams. The Bears are technically the road team in the London game.
The Bears will make single-game tickets available at ChicagoBears.com/tickets at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the team said Tuesday. Those on the season ticket priority list can enter a pre-sale from 7 to 8 p.m. Soldier Field will use only mobile tickets for the first time this season.
