Nashville selected to host Super Bowl LXIV at new Nissan Stadium in 2030

Nashville is set to host its first Super Bowl in 2030, with NFL team owners voting Tuesday to bring the championship game to the Tennessee Titans' new $2.1 billion Nissan Stadium.

The enclosed venue, once complete, positioned the Music City as a strong contender for the league's premier event.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had previously highlighted Nashville's readiness, noting in November the city "lacked only the stage" after its successful 2019 NFL Draft.

The new stadium, a three-year project across from the current Nissan Stadium, is due for February completion. Capacity concerns were addressed with league officials, and the 2030 date allows the Titans three full seasons for preparations.

Nashville joins a Super Bowl lineup featuring SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, California) in 2027, Atlanta in 2028, and Las Vegas in 2029.

The NFL also confirmed Minnesota will host the 2028 NFL Draft, a decade after its 2018 Super Bowl, and Washington in 2027. Pittsburgh's draft this past April drew a record 805,000 fans.

Tennessee broke ground on the new stadium in February 2024 and expects construction to be complete by February 2027, providing more than enough time for the Titans to move next door from their current open-air stadium for the 2027 NFL season.

The 2026 Super Bowl was at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game was between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks in a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl, which saw the Patriots take home the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy.

The Seahawks secured the win with 29-13.

Bad Bunny headlined a spectacular Super Bowl halftime show that celebrated Puerto Rico and Latino culture, a huge display of resistance against Donald Trump’s anti-immigration agenda that was viewed by millions.

The Puerto Rican superstar, 31, made history as the first artist to perform a halftime show entirely in Spanish, as well as becoming the first Latin solo act to take on one of the world’s most coveted gigs.

Bad Bunny’s headline spot had been the subject of protests from MAGA supporters, with some choosing instead to tune into the so-called “All-American Halftime Show” organized by right-wing political organisation Turning Point USA.
