It might've taken nearly a year but the NFL finally reached a decision on Antonio Brown.
The free agent wide receiver will be suspended the first eight games of the 2020 season for multiple violations of the league's personal conduct policy, the Washington Post's Robert Klemko reported Friday.
Brown last played in 2019, appearing in one game for the New England Patriots during their Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots released him not even a week later amid allegations of sexual assault.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero noted Brown's suspension could be extended based on how his ongoing lawsuit in Broward (Fla.) County pans out. The civil suit alleges the 32-year-old NFL star "exploited, sexually assaulted and raped" his former trainer, the name of whom the Miami Herald is choosing to withhold, according to the complaint.
It's unclear if Brown will ever play in the NFL again as he announced his retirement on Twitter just 10 days ago.
In his 10-plus months off the gridiron, Brown has retired twice, thrown a bag of penis-shaped gummy candies at Hollywood police and fought a delivery truck driver, among many other things. The Miami native also appears to have found a passion for music; his debut album entitled "Himmothy" released on Friday.
