NFL super-agent Drew Rosenhaus predicts winner of Dolphins QB battle

Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is insisting that the Dolphins have yet to make a commitment to a starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. When asked yesterday if the Dolphins knew who would start, Flores held his cards close to his chest.

“I think we are still — we have time to go through the evaluation. There’s not a big rush right now; so no, not just yet. Both guys have strengths, weaknesses and things that we like. But no, we have not made a concrete decision yet. No, we haven’t (decided on a starter),” said Flores.

And while the only opinion on the matter is undecided, seemingly everyone else already knows who they’d like to see play. A majority of Dolphins fans feel the urge to see Josh Rosen under center — in hopes he can clarify for the team on whether he’s a potential steal of the century or the latest stop along the road to finding a franchise quarterback. But it isn’t just fans predicting or calling for Rosen to start — the crowd also includes NFL super-agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Rosenhaus made the prediction on WSVN 7 Sports Xtra — a South Florida sports broadcast that airs at 11:30 PM EST on Sunday nights. And while Rosenhaus may not have concrete evidence, he’s the type of heavyweight in NFL circles to have enough information to make a highly educated guess on what direction the Dolphins will take moving forward.

There’s no question that Josh Rosen will start for the Dolphins at some point in 2019 — but if it comes in Week 1 of the regular season, it will mark an impressive shift for Rosen considering where this coaching staff seemed to be mentally on their best option just a week ago.
