NFL power rankings highlight a crowded AFC North

The AFC North has always been a highly competitive division but rarely is recognized as one of the better ones in the NFL. ESPN put out their power rankings on Wednesday and it really illustrates how much the conference has improved and just how crowded it is going to be at the top all season long.

Here’s how the AFC North broke down.

15-Cleveland Browns, 8.8 wins, 51.5 percent chance to make the playoffs.

16-Pittsburgh Steelers, 8.5 wins, 45.8 percent chance to make the playoffs

17-Baltimore Ravens, 8.5 wins, 44.9 percent chance to make the playoffs

29-Cincinnati Bengals, 6 wins, 7.8 percent chance to make the playoffs

Removing the Bengals who seem to be in a state of flux right now with a new head coach, the AFC North promises to be some of the best football in the NFL this season.

The Steelers have been the kings of the north recently, winning three of the last five division titles. But with the Browns and Ravens getting better last season into this offseason, the sledding isn’t going to get any easier for Pittsburgh to try to return to the playoffs.
