NFL Playoffs futures: Each AFC title contender’s odds to win the the conference and advance to the Super Bowl

Friends, we have made it. A long (but kinda quick?) 18-week NFL season is in the rearview and now we can shift our attention to what matters the most — the playoffs!

To all my bettors out there, please pay attention. The postseason is less than a week away, so now is the time to really lock in on the latest injury news, weather updates, etc. — those details could impact whether or not money is added to your pocket.

In the meanwhile, we’re here to provide you with what we know, and that is each NFL playoffs team’s championship odds.

Today, we’ll run down the AFC.

All odds via BetMGM.

No. 7 Seed - Miami Dolphins (+2500)

(Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports)

It took a Week 18 game-winning field goal, but the Dolphins are in the playoffs for the first time in six years and just the fourth time this century.

No. 4 Seed - Jacksonville Jaguars (+2500)

[Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union]
After falling to 4-8 on the season, the Jags closed the season on a five-game winning streak to win the AFC South and earn a Wild Card spot. They’re onf of the hottest teams in the league currently and should be taken seriously.

No. 6 Seed - Baltimore Ravens (+2000)

(Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports)

Will Lamar Jackson suit up for Baltimore’s first-round game against the Bengals?

No. 5 Seed - Los Angeles Chargers (+1200)

(Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports)

Although it seemed like a long shot around a month ago, Justin Herbert will get his first crack at the NFL playoffs.

No. 3 Seed - Cincinnati Bengals (+350)

(Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports)

The Bengals’ post-Super-Bowl-loss hangover seemed real until they reeled off eight-straight wins to close the regular season. Their reward is a date with a divisional foe to begin the postseason.

No. 2 Seed - Buffalo Bills (+200)

(JAMIE GERMANO / USA TODAY NETWORK)

It’s an understatement to say that the Bills have gone through a lot recently. Credit to them for still fighting, though. As far as talent goes, they’re as good as any team in the league.

No. 1 Seed - Kansas City Chiefs (+180)

Back in the AFC’s top spot, the Kansas City Chiefs are the conference’s favorite. With Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, it’s easy to see why. They’ll begin their playoff journey a week after everyone else.
