Xavier Worthy lit up the 2024 NFL combine by breaking the 40-yard dash record previously held by John Ross III.
Worthy’s astounding 4.21-second time topped Ross’ long-standing record of 4.22, which puts the Texas receiver in the conversation for fastest player to ever test at the NFL combine.
The run was first clocked at 4.22 to tie Ross’ record, but the official time put him over the threshold with 4.21 to own the record outright.
Former and current NFL players immediately took to social media to praisea Worthy for his incredible achievement, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes … who might not mind having Worthy as a teammate in the 2024 season and beyond.
