Reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes exited a Thursday Night Football game against the Broncos in the first half after suffering a right patellar dislocation on a quarterback sneak.
The extent of Mahomes injury is currently unknown, but he is set to undergo an MRI on Friday to determine if there is any ligament damage. If Mahomes’ knee ligaments aren’t affected, he could potentially return to the field in a month. According to Ian Rapoport, Mahomes is initially expected to miss at least three weeks.
Quarterbacks and NFL players from around the league who were watching Thursday’s game shared their prayers for Mahomes on social media, and wished the Chiefs QB a speedy recovery.
