NFL players stand behind Texans WR Kenny Stills after arrest

Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was one of 87 protesters who were arrested on Tuesday in Louisville at the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Stills and other protesters marched to Cameron’s home to call for Cameron to criminally charge the three police officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor.

According to a report from the Louisville Courier-Journal, Stills and many others face charges of intimidating a participant in the legal process – a felony – second-degree disorderly conduct criminal trespass. A police spokesman said that all protesters had been given the opportunity to leave to avoid arrest, but elected to stay.

After news of Stills’ arrest circulated, many current and former NFL players stood solidarity with Stills and called for the officers connected to Taylor’s death to be arrested.
