NFL players react to the Seahawks’ trade for Jamal Adams

Safety Jamal Adams wanted a trade from the Jets this offseason, and on Saturday, the 2019 First-Team All-Pro got his wish… and the Jets received a huge haul in draft capital in exchange.

It was reported on Saturday that the Jets and Seahawks have agreed to a trade, with the Jets getting two future first-round picks in the deal. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets will send Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick to Seattle in exchange for safety Bradley McDougald, a first and third-round pick in 2021, and a first-round pick in 2022. The Seahawks announced the deal on Twitter, welcoming Adams to Seattle.

Adams is unquestionably an elite player that the Jets will miss on the field, but that haul of picks is difficult to pass up for a team that isn’t in win-now mode. NFL players sounded off on the deal on Twitter.
