NFL player Hayden Hurst uses Twitter to find 'gorgeous tall brunette' he saw on his flight

Baltimore Ravens tight end Hayden Hurst has requested help from people on Twitter in finding “the one that got away”.

According to the NFL player, he was flying from Jacksonville, Florida to Baltimore, Maryland, when he saw a “gorgeous tall brunette” - but he wasn’t able to catch up with her as she got off the plane to give her his number.

“To the gorgeous tall brunette on my flight to Baltimore,” the 25-year-old tweeted. “You walk incredibly fast and I couldn’t catch up but here’s hoping you have Twitter #theonethatgotaway.”

Since tweeting the plea on Sunday, which has since been liked more than 3,900 times, Hurst’s teammates and fellow NFL players have expressed their support for his tactic.

“Shooters shoot. I respect it,” wrote quarterback Nick Fitzgerald.

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews also tweeted his approval, writing: “Haha shooters shoot, respect the hustle.”

In the comments, Hurst also explained that he had been stopped by a fan who wanted to take a picture with him - which prevented him from catching up with the woman.

In response to a question from someone asking whether the Ravens signed the wrong person, considering Hurst wasn’t able to catch the woman, the NFL player wrote: “Relax. I was taking a picture with someone.”

A man who claimed to be the one who asked Hurst for a picture backed up his claim with a selfie of himself and Hurst in the airport, which he captioned: “My fault Hayden, I let you down. But still, no regrets!”

While it appears the woman in question has not been identified, other women are volunteering to take her place.

“It wasn’t me but I volunteer,” one woman wrote, while another said: “I’m not tall and brunette but I’m tall and blonde. I can pretend to be from Baltimore!”

The Independent has contacted Hurst for comment.
