NFL.com omits Jonah Williams from projected All-Rookie team

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t darlings in the national spotlight right now like say, the Cleveland Browns.

But one would think No. 11 overall pick Jonah Williams out of Alabama would get a little more love.

Alas, the post above from the NFL’s Instagram leaves Williams off its All-Rookie team, opting for five other linemen on offense.

It’s a little odd considering Williams was the first tackle off the board and one slot shy of being a top-10 pick. Garrett Bradbury (No. 18), Dalton Risner (41), Chris Lindstrom (14), Kaleb McGary (31) and Greg Little (37) all came off the board after Williams.

One could argue the lack of an unknown when it comes to Williams’ pro position right now is why he didn’t make the list. But it shouldn’t matter, especially with a third-round pick like David Montgomery landing on the list.

But as always, the Bengals won’t complain about being out of the spotlight and serving as an underdog.
