The Denver Broncos (6-6) are considered 7.5-point favorites against the Detroit Lions (1-10-1) in Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season, according to Tipico Sportsbook. The over/under for total points scored between the two teams has been set at 41.5.
Denver’s games have averaged 38 total points per contest this year while Detroit’s games have averaged 43.2 points per contest this season. That’s a combined average of 40.6, barely below this week’s over/under line.
Last week, the Broncos were considered 9.5-point underdogs against the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver lost by 13 points. The Lions were considered 7.5-point underdogs against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit won by two points.
Because they play in separate conferences (the AFC and NFC, respectively), the Broncos and Lions don’t face off often. Denver leads the all-time series against Detroit 8-5, and the Broncos won their two most recent showdowns with the Lions in 2019 and 2015.
Denver is 6-6 against the spread this season while Detroit is 8-4.
