NFL Network will broadcast Bears preseason game vs. Giants

The Chicago Bears will get the prime-time treatment five times this 2019 regular season, and they’ll get a similar treatment this preseason.

NFL Network will carry the Bears’ Week 2 preseason contest against the New York Giants on Friday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Metlife Stadium.

Bears preseason games air locally on Fox, but live preseason games on NFL Network are subject to blackouts in the local markets of participating teams.

Games on NFL Network can be live-streamed through NFL and NFL Network apps on smartphones, tablets, PCs and connected TV devices.

This will be the first of two meetings between the Bears and Giants this season, as Chicago will host New York in a regular-season matchup on Nov. 24 at Soldier Field.

It will also be the third time the Bears play the Giants in the past two years, after Chicago lost a 30-27 overtime thriller to the Giants on Dec. 2.

The Bears kickoff training camp later this month with rookies set to arrive to Bourbonnais on July 22 and veterans on July 25.

Chicago will host the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 8 to start the preseason, followed by a road trip to play the Giants on Aug. 16. The Bears will travel to Indianapolis for their dress rehearsal game on Aug. 24, and they’ll wrap up the preseason at home against the Titans on Aug. 29.
