NFL Network will air all 65 preseason games in 2019 — the only network who will do so — and the league announced on Tuesday that 13 of those games will be aired live.
That’s good news for out-of-market fans of the New York Giants, who would otherwise be stuck missing the majority of, if not the entirety of the preseason.
The NFL Network slate will even kick off with the Giants on Thursday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. when they take on their in-town rivals, the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
In addition to that Week 1 preseason game, the Giants will also kick things off in Week 2 as NFL Network airs their game against the Chicago Bears on Friday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m — a game that will also be played at MetLife Stadium.
The Giants’ final two preseason games — Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals and Week 4 against the New England Patriots — will remain in the local markets only.
