NFL Network to show Cardinals live twice in preseason

It will only be the preseason but it would appear there is some national interest in the Arizona Cardinals. The NFL announced it will air 13 preseason games live on NFL Network.

Two of those contests will feature the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals’ preseason debut, which should also be No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray’s preseason debut as well, on Thursday, Aug. 8 will be shown live on NFL Network in the 10 p.m. Eastern slot.

Then, in preseason Week 3, the Cardinals’ game on the road against the Minnesota Vikings will air live at 4 p.m. Eastern. That third preseason game is traditionally considered the dress rehearsal for the regular season and is the game in which teams’ starters typically play the longest.

That would mean more Kyler Murray for a national audience.

Once the regular season comes, the Cardinals will only have one national broadcast in prime time, a Thursday night game on Halloween night against the San Francisco 49ers.
