NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger loved what he saw from Dwayne Haskins

NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger was one of many who liked the flashes they saw from Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins in his NFL debut.

Granted, that was a preseason game where the result didn’t matter. But the reps and development for Haskins very much did.

And in that regard, Haskins played well, as Baldinger pointed out in the film breakdown above, saying the following: “Dwayne Haskins played 33 of the Redskins 68 snaps…and you saw a lot of talent.”

Haskins isn’t guaranteed anything going into the regular season, not while battling veterans like Colt McCoy and Case Keenum. It’s also a big ask to have him go into Philadelphia in Week 1.

But if Haskins can build on these traits he’s shown already and the Redskins can live with the mistakes that will inevitably come alongside starting him, he might just end up winning the gig in the coming weeks.
