NFL Network analyst says Trevon Diggs is probably ‘not under consideration’ for the Vikings

Trevon Diggs has been a very popular mock draft choice for the Vikings throughout the offseason.

But a lot can change as the offseason progresses. Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Trevon’s brother, has reportedly been traded to the Bills. The trade resulted in some thinking that Trevon would be off the table for Minnesota in the draft, despite the team’s need for a cornerback.

According to the Pioneer Press’  Chris Tomasson, NFL Network draft analyst Charles Davis told him in regards to Trevon that “more than likely, he’s not under consideration for Minnesota.”

Davis is valid in that opinion, but honestly I wouldn’t care if we got Stefon’s brother. I don’t think Stefon’s issues with the team necessarily mean his brother wouldn’t play hard, or would demand a trade. Also, Trevon is a big corner who could come in and play right away. To counter that, though, there are plenty of talented cornerbacks in the draft, so maybe it’s not worth the risk of drafting a player who has a chance of being a liability.
